summerhouse

summerhouse was a collaborative programme and exhibition born out of sharings, conversations and experiments facilitated in workshop format. 9 artists and 4 curators spent a two week residency learning from the ecology of the land and its interconnected communities.

Centred on the generous giving of the RuptureXIBIT by Kate Howe Studios in Hampton Wick, we spent time in and around Bushy Park learning together and forming the seeds of the programme. Giving time for artworks to shift, change and respond to their environment reflecting on the artists own practices that explores relationships to space and place.
